Investment Team

Tim has more than 30 years' experience in fund management, banking and financial services including senior roles at a FTSE listed Bank and more than 10 years in the management and administration of offshore funds. He holds a BSc (Hons), a Diploma in Marketing and the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction and is a member of the IoD. He has significant experience in business leadership, operational and systems transformation, private equity, property and mortgage lending markets.

James leads the operational management of the business utilising 10 years’ experience in the finance industry. He is a member of the Board, the Investment Committee and the Credit Committee.

Prior to joining RAW Capital Partners in 2019, James was a manager at Guernsey Finance – the promotional agency for the island’s financial services sector – where he contributed to the development and implementation of jurisdictional strategy for financial services. Earlier in his career, James worked for a fund administration and trust service provider.

Ben is the interim Managing Director of the Investment Manager. He was previously the Chief Financial Officer and has been an employee of RAW Capital Partners since 2021. Ben was responsible for the oversight of the company’s financial controls, fund accounting, information technology and financial reporting. Now as interim Managing Director he has taken over  Tim’s responsibilities on an interim basis while he is absent. He is a member of the Board, the Investment Committee, the Risk and Compliance Committee and the Credit Committee.

Marisa joined RAW Capital Partners in 2020 as an Executive Assistant & Company Secretary and provides support to the mortgage execution team. Marisa is now an Executive Director of RAW Capital Partners.

Before taking time out to raise a family, Marisa worked as a commercial property solicitor in London during which time she acted for and advised clients on acquisition and disposal of commercial, industrial and residential property.

Marisa is a member of the board of the Investment Manager and the Credit Committee

Josh is responsible for analysis and risk management, helping ensure RAW Capital maintains delivery of consistent returns for investors. Josh works closely with our professional counterparties to ensure maintenance of good quality fund assets and high-quality service delivery. He is a member of the Credit Committee and acts as secretary to the Investment Committee.

Josh has experience in mortgage lending, private equity investing and currency hedging. He has developed expertise in database management and process improvement.

David has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry and during his 25 years in Guernsey has held senior positions with the offshore divisions of two FTSE-listed banks. In addition, he has held non-executive directorships with a Guernsey-regulated and licensed bank, investment management company, Investec's captive insurance company, and an investment fund.

David has been the non-executive Chairman of RAW Capital Partners Limited since 2016 and is a member of  the Investment Committee and the Credit Committee.  

As the head of distribution here at RAW, Roddy has over 15 years’ experience in the finance industry. Before joining us, Roddy spent time at Menai Financial, developing distribution strategy for EMEA and was Head of Business Development at EG Capital Advisors. Prior to that, Roddy was Vice President of Investment Solutions at Winton Group, and Head of Sales, Marketing and Investor Relations at Krom River Trading where he was based in Zug, Switzerland.

James joined us full-time in September 2023 after a 3 month internship in 2022. He is the new Business Development Executive, and is responsible for building and maintaining investor relationships, investor reporting and analysing market research data.  

James studied BSc Economics and Finance at the University of Exeter, where he achieved a 1st class honours and a school commendation. Furthermore, he is currently planning to continue his studies in the investment area. 

In his spare time, James enjoys rugby, the outdoors, 5 aside football, and BBQ's (Braai's)!
