Ocean Village Marina

2023 was a great year for RAW Capital Partners with several key milestones passed.

5 base rate rises between January and August, totalling 1.75%, helped push our monthly returns to their highest ever level and led to an annual return of around 8.5% for our institutional share class.

We saw excellent inflows into the fund taking AUM up to £166m.

It was particularly pleasing that we finished a strong year with our strongest quarter.

With rates rising so quickly, there was always a concern that demand for mortgages from our non-UK resident borrowers may drop.

Instead, in Q4 we had our best quarter of new business, originating over £30m in new loans completing on over £24m.  (There is typically a 3-month lag between agreeing and completing on loans.)

To keep up with strong growth, we continued to invest in and grow the team.

Our London team grew from 1 to 4 over the year and our head office in Guernsey now has over 30.

A final key part of this employee growth involved opening a new office in Southampton next to the stunning Ocean Village (pictured), which is now home to 4 new employees specifically catering to finance, risk and compliance teams.
