Bob Banfield has 25 years of experience in the Guernsey finance industry and is a member of the STEP and IFS institutes. For the last 6 of his 18 years (1988-2006) with Northern Trust Fiduciary Services (Guernsey) Ltd, Bob served on the board of the company.
From 2006 to 2009 Bob worked with Investec in Guernsey as a director of the trust company and also the Managing Director of the fund administration business (2007-2009) where he was responsible for leading a complete rebuild of the business to establish compliant policies and procedures and more effective working practices.
Bob was the Managing Director at Ogier Fiduciary Services (Guernsey) Ltd (2009-2012). He was responsible for delivery of all aspects of client service to corporate clients which involved the administration of offshore companies, limited partnerships and trusts. He was also the Managing Director at Ogier Fund Administration (Guernsey) Limited which provided administration services to closed ended property and private equity funds.
Bob has recently established his own consultancy company to provide advice to companies in the Channel Islands in connection with financial services regulation, project management and process efficiency. Bob recently obtained accreditation in Lean Six Sigma, a methodology for improving business processes.
